Ideal Power Converters Selected to Showcase its Universal Power Converter Platform at MDB Capital Group’s 3rd Annual Bright Lights Conference in New York City
Ideal Power Converters Among MDB Capital Group’s Disruptive Technology Leaders
AUSTIN, Texas– September 7, 2012 – Ideal Power Converters (IPC), a developer of disruptive power converter solutions, is pleased to announce that it has been selected to present at the MDB Capital Group’s prestigious 3rd Annual Bright Lights Conference, which will take place from September 9th -11th at the New York Palace Hotel in New York City. Ideal Power Converters will be presenting on Monday, September 10 at 11am.
Bright Lights is Wall Street’s only disruptive technology conference, focusing exclusively on companies MDB believes can transform their industries with game-changing technology.
Ideal Power Converters was hand-selected by MDB as one of approximately 30 public and private companies to present at this exclusive, invitation-only event. IPC has developed the Universal Power Converter Platform™ (UPCP), based on its proven and patented current‐modulation topology, which significantly improves weight, size, cost, efficiency and reliability of electronic power converters. The UPCP enables a standard hardware design to be used for multiple applications with only embedded software changes. Applications that are being transformed by IPC’s new power converter technology include solar photovoltaics, electronic vehicle chargers, battery chargers and grid-storage.
Christopher Marlett, CEO at MDB Capital Group, commented, “It’s a rare and exciting opportunity to have so many key players that are advancing some of today’s most innovative technologies together under one roof. We look forward to sharing Ideal Power Converter’s disruptive technology with other innovators and investors at Bright Lights 2012.”
IPC’s flagship product is a 30kW inverter that delivers 480V AC 3-phase power and supports grounded PV arrays without an internal or external transformer. It weighs only 94lbs compared to 1,200lbs from conventional 30kW 480V AC PV inverters with isolation. IPC’s 30kW inverter conforms to UL1741 and achieved a CEC-weighted efficiency of 96.5 percent. This efficiency rating is superior to any other CEC listed PV inverter under 100kW with isolation for grounded arrays, the de facto standard in the United States.
Bright Lights 2012 will host panels and presentations featuring industry-leading entrepreneurs, inventors and experts in intellectual property and the capital markets. To learn more about the event or to request an invitation, please visit: http://mdb.com/2012-bright-lights-conference.html.
